Go to Application Settings -> Application Setup -> Number Series
Click on Add New (+)
Input the information which is required as shown below (two screens)
Now a new document series has been created.
Here in GCA001ACC the number of zeros used in front of the number 001 (We used to call it as running number) can be set in the column Number Of Zeros.
